Something extraordinary is coming to Durham this winter. Creative producer Artichoke - best known for events like La Machine in Liverpool in 2008 - will bring its unique brand of magic to the city in this four day celebration of light.
Artichoke is working with more than 50 artists, lighting designers and theatrical magicians to create a breathtaking series of installations, illuminations and performances using light.
Building on Durham's successful Enlightenment festival in 2008, Lumiere will turn the city into a winter wonderland, transforming its stunning buildings, streets and riverbanks, with a nocturnal winter festival that will dazzle residents and visitors alike.
More details will be released soon. Check out the website at www.lumieredurham.com
