The 177th Durham Regatta will take place on the weekend of 12 - 13 June 2010. The most prestigious rowing regatta in the North attracts a high level of competition, both at national and international level.
Alongside the racing, there are many attractions on the river banks. In previous years, attractions have included a Vintage Car Rally, musical performances, and various displays. For the last two years, the Illuminate Festival has run alongside the Regatta. In 2009, children paraded their water-themed designs from the Market Place down to the river.
