Sean O’Brien and Jacob Polley
In Sean O’Brien’s first novel, Afterlife, a hedonistic quartet of young poets and artists are drawn into a hypnotic narrative about power, artistic rivalry, jealousy and, ultimately, murder. O’Brien is an award-winning poet whose collections include Down River. In Jacob Polley’s first novel, Talk of the Town, a random act of violence sets in motion a strange sequence of events among a close-knit community of teenage boys in Carlisle. Both writers are acclaimed poets who have turned their hands to novels for the first time. Introduced by Jo Colley.
