Two great novelists who are not afraid to write about the treacherous waters of relationships between men and women. In Nick Hornby’s long awaited new novel, Juliet,Naked, he returns to his roots of writing about music, manic fandom and the problems that both can cause to relationships. In David Nicholls’ One Day, Dexter and Emma meet as students, part unhappily, then begin a friendship that lasts a lifetime. We meet the characters across a period of 20 years as their lives intertwine. The book has been described as ‘the best weird love story since The Time Traveller’s Wife’. Chaired by Dr Simon James.
Great news – Lumiere, the magical festival of light which many of you enjoyed last November was a winner at Tuesday’s Journal Culture Awards. And ...
