Marcus Berkmann and Max Davidson

In Max Davidson’s acclaimed new book, Winning Isn’t Everything: The Most Inspiring Moments of Sporting Chivalry, we are reminded that modern sport is not just about money, ruthlessness and cold-hearted aggression. The book contains 50 stories of sporting chivalry from an eclectic range of sports and eras. Marcus Berkmann’s previous cricket themed book, Rain Men, about his own touring cricket team, has been described as the ‘Fever Pitch of cricket’. Today he will be talking about his new book, Ashes to shes, which chronicles the 35 humiliating years he has spent watching England play Australia at cricket. Introduced by David Harker, Chief Executive of Durham County Cricket Club.
