Janice Galloway, Vesna Maric and Kapka Kassabova:
In This is Not About Me, prizewinning novelist Janice Galloway brings all her fiction skills to bear on the re-telling of her childhood. Vesna Maric fled war-torn Bosnia when she was 16. In her hilarious and refreshingly unsentimental memoir, Bluebird, she recounts what it was like to arrive in England as a refugee and what happened when she returned to Bosnia years later. Kapka Kassabova was born and grew up in Sofia in Bulgaria under communism. In her memoir, Street Without A Name, she returns to the country of her birth to explore how it has changed. Introduced by Caroline Beck.
