Beamish Georgian Spring Fair

Experience the recreation of the hustle and bustle of a Georgian Spring Fair. Enjoy a short, guided walk through the Georgian landscape, see labourers at work in the fields and the workers for hire. Watch traditional craftsmen demonstrating their skills and meet the trinket sellers and strolling entertainers.

27 March 2010 to 31 October 2010. Open 7 days a week, 10am to 5pm.

Nearest stations are Durham, Chester-le-Street and Newcastle. 28 and 28A Buses run from Newcastle Eldon Square, and X8 runs from Sunderland. All of these buses run through Chester-le-Street.

Nearest major road is A1(M). Signposted from the A1(M) jct 63. Travel along A693 for 4 miles towards Stanley picking up signs for Beamish Museum.

Prices vary according to season. The winter season is centred on the town and tramway only. Other areas of the Museum are closed and admission charges are, consequently, reduced. Please see website for further information
