Not only was Woody taught by the peerless gospel and ragtime guitarist Rev Gary Davis, but he has played with Son House, Bukka White and John Fahey. The American acoustic guitar player performs his own dazzling material, which is firmly rooted in the jazz and blues traditions of the twenties and thirties. You are unlikely to hear anyone better in the fields that Mann has chosen to master.
