Anticipation is building for one of Durham’s most exciting events in 2010. The Durham Mysteries offer a cycle of plays from the likes of award-winning authors David Almond (Skellig) and BBC 3’s Ian McMillan. The production sees a reinvention of traditional bible stories including Noah and the Flood, Cain & Abel, The Nativity and the Fall of Lucifer.
On each of three evenings there will be the opportunity to see the whole cycle of 10 Mystery Plays in one incredible night of drama and spectacle. The plays are taking place at three venues, including Durham Cathedral, Durham Gala Theatre and outdoor picnic-style venue, The Sands.
Utilising a diverse range of artistic styles including everything from opera to break dancing, to drama and comedy, Durham Mysteries will appeal to audiences young and old, so book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
Great news – Lumiere, the magical festival of light which many of you enjoyed last November was a winner at Tuesday’s Journal Culture Awards. And ...
