Cultural City, Cultural County
Activities which involve people from all over the county in cultural pursuits, often leading to a celebration in the City. The Gala Theatre is leading a project to reprise Durham's medieval Mystery Plays, giving them a modern context and using a range of contemporary media. Involving individuals and communities from across the county, the plays will be performed as part of a major celebration in May 2010.
