Fowlers Yard is a little oasis within this beautiful city where you can sit and talk with the artist or craftsperson and watch them at work and ask questions. There are opportunities to buy work or commission special and personalised gifts and there's also a coffee shop.

Nearest station is Durham. Walk down hill, turn left, walk to roundabout, take A690 (Sunderland Road) cross road at next junction. Continue walking till slip road on right-take that and follow road round to left (past indoor market) into Fowler's Yard.

Nearest major road is A690. Follow signs into Durham City Centre. Best parking is at Walkergate carpark (down from the Gala Theatre).
