The Cultural Partnership

CultureDurham is the one-stop shop for creative activities and communities in County Durham, it is developed and maintained by the County Durham Cultural Partnership.

Durham’s Cultural Partnership and culturedurham.com grew out of the bid to be UK City of Culture in 2013. The partnership consists of everyone in Durham that is involved in the county’s cultural life. A partnership board (with representation from Beamish Museum, Bowes Museum, Durham Cathedral, Durham County Council, Durham County Cricket Club, Durham University, National Railway Museum and Visit County Durham) oversees projects such as culturedurham.com and provides support and endorsement to funding bids, new initiatives and related organisations such as the County Durham Economic Partnership.
