Take a walk on the wild side this summer

Take a walk on the wild side this summer
Added: 09/08/2012

Make the most of the good weather and join one of the many organised walks that are taking place in Durham this Summer.

Walking in a group is a great way to stay fit and motivated. You'll make friends and discover new places in your local area. Walks are scheduled to take regularly over the Summer with specialist guides including geoligists, natual historians and photographers.

The next walk you can join takes place this Sunday 12th of August and has the theme of "Geology and Juniper" as walkers take on a 4 mile route around High Force. The guided walk costs £4 and begins at 2pm in the High Force car park.

There are also Art Walks and Photography walks scheduled for September. To find out more visit www.durham.gov.uk/countryside and download a copy of the brochure.
