Charity Festival Gives Tilly A Hand

Tow Law Town FC are hosting a Bank Holiday “beer and music festival” to support a local girl recovering from meningitis.
Tilly Fest is a fundraising opportunity for the “Give Tilly A Hand” appeal and takes place this August Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th August 2012. The festival features more than 40 bands playing over two stages and a large selection of real ales and ciders from breweries across the North East.
There are also a host of activities for families including, puppet shows, face painting, produce stalls, fairground attractions and much more.
Stephen Robinson, one of the organisers, said: “This promises to be a brilliant event for all. The Give Tilly A Hand charity is really worthwhile cause so if anyone would like to support the event they can have an advert on the stage, sponsoring a barrel of beer or cider, website and programme sponsors. Or you can donate a prize for the raffle.”
Tilly Lockey is a well known little girl who caught meningitis at the age of seven, which resulted in her losing both her hands. Since then many people have contributed to raising money in her aid read her full story at www.givetillyahand.com
Tickets prices are £8 per day adult, £4 children and weekend ticket £22.
