Added: 31/07/2012
A singer songwriter who is cycling from Bristol to Edinburgh for charity brings her busking roadshow to Durham this evening. Miss Cecily who plays the ukulele and guitar decided to celebrate the olympics by cycling as far as possible in the opposite direction!
She said: "On July 12th whilst all eyes are on London’s 2012 Olympics. I ’ve decided to cycle as far as I can in the opposite direction! I will be setting off from Bristol, on my trusty bicycle, with a trailer carrying my amp and guitar and heading North. My aim, is in a month to reach Edinburgh to play on the streets during August’s Fringe Festival. On route I will endeavour to busk in every town that I pass through."
She is busking on the way and raising money for Temwas tree planting project raising enough to plant more than 10,000 trees already!
You can see Miss Cecily this evening at 9pm in the Fisthank in Durham city.
