Wurlitzer Pipe Organ
The Wurlitzer Pipe Organ is the largest, most versatile, theatre pipe organ in the North East and is housed in a former chapel in the small village of Howden-le-Wear, near Crook. The organ is renowned in theatre organ circles as one of the finest theatre organs of its size in the world. The former chapel, now called the New Victoria Centre, has been re-furbished to re-create the atmosphere of a 1930's cinema.
