This massive steel sculpture by Joseph Hillier rises above Aycliffe Business Park. The 4.7-tonne sculpture takes the form of a gigantic head and shoulders and is intended to mark Newton Aycliffe’s industrial heritage and symbolise regeneration.
The steel grid head shape with laser cut figures was fabricated by Aycliffe Fabrications and erected in 2009.
