
Durham Regatta
Durham Regatta is the premier rowing event to take place in the North of England and the second oldest Regatta in England. More than 600 crews from all over the country take part over two days of competition in June.
For the last two years, the Illuminate Festival has taken place over the same weekend. In 2009, children paraded their water-themed designs from the Market Place down to the river.
